Meet Sunnie
I’ve Sat where you’re sitting…
Sunnie Jones-Herold is the Founder and CEO of Luminary Collective
Hi, I’m Sunnie. I know what it feels like to carry shame, questions, and unspoken parts of your story alone. My life changed when I finally let God into those hidden places and discovered a freedom I didn’t know was possible.
As a Holy Spirit-led healing practitioner, certified recovery coach, and long-time ministry leader, I’ve spent many years walking with women through their journeys of healing and transformation. I created Luminary Collective to be a safe, biblically based space where women can explore their stories without shame and rediscover their identity in Christ.
"He restores my soul." Psalm 23:3
Why I Created Luminary Collective
My story began in the hidden places.
In my later years, I found myself carrying wounds I hadn't chosen and shame I couldn't name. Trauma and shame have a way of weaving themselves into everything — the way you relate to people, the way you see yourself, and even the way you experience your faith.
For a long time, I did what so many women do. I managed. I functioned. I showed up and served and kept the hidden parts carefully tucked away — convinced that if anyone truly knew, something would break that could never be repaired.
"My life changed when I finally let God into those hidden places — and discovered a freedom I didn't know was possible."
That turning point didn't happen all at once. It happened in the quiet, in the courage to bring the shameful parts into the light — first to God, and then, slowly, to safe people. Everything changed when I stopped keeping my faith and my wounds in separate rooms.
Luminary Collective was born from that journey.
I created this space because I know what it costs to stay silent — and I know what becomes possible when someone finally feels safe enough to speak. Every woman deserves that moment. A place to bring the story she's been afraid to tell and be met with compassion, not judgment.
The places in our story that carry the most shame are often the very places where God longs to bring the deepest healing.
"It felt wonderful to be supported spiritually with our weekly devoted time to pray and connect together. I feel so safe and unblocked every time we speak."
CAROLYN."Sunnie has really been pivotal in my healing journey and walk with Jesus. Through talking and releasing prayer sessions together, she has helped me gain insight and wisdom into some really difficult past experiences and trauma. I am really grateful for her love of Jesus Christ, our savior. Because of her faith and this unique approach for spiritual sessions, I feel hopeful that something else can be offered to the community that can be just as powerful and restorative to an individual’s soul."
Hellen.“Before working with Sunnie, I continued to hide a part of my story that was shrouded in shame…Sunnie’s gentle yet fierce approach has encouraged me to be honest with myself, with God, and with those around me…[it was a] convicting reminder of the authority and power that we carry as daughters of God!”
